PHYSICIAN PROFILE

Dr. Eric Kleinstein has been practicing in South Florida since 2001. He moved his practice to Margate in September 2003. As a board Certified General Surgeon, his expertise and special interests are in Breast Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Thyroid Surgery, Complex Hernia Repairs, and Wound Care. Dr. Kleinstein was the first surgeon at Northwest Medical Center to perform a "SILS" Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (removing a patient's Gall Bladder through only ONE incision).

Dr. Kleinstein is the Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Northwest Medical Center, and sits on many various committees. He is also on staff at Coral Springs Medical Center, University Hospital, The Wound Care Center at University Hospital, and Park Creek Surgical Center.

Dr. Kleinstein attended New York University as an undergraduate. He graduated from UMDNJ — New Jersey Medical School in 1994. He began his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. After completing a year in research during his residency, he returned to New Jersey Medical School to complete his training. His research has been published in various journals and presented at multiple meetings.

Dr. Kleinstein takes pride in spending time with his patients — never rushing anyone out. He will apologize for your waiting, but assures you it will be worth it! His interests include photography, which will be very apparent to all who walk through his office hallways and exam rooms!
