Eric Kleinstein, MD, FACS

Dr. Eric Kleinstein has been practicing in South Florida since 2001. He moved his practice to Margate in 2003, then to Coral Springs in 2025. As a Board-Certified General Surgeon, his expertise and special interests are in Breast Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Thyroid Surgery, Hernia Repairs, Skin Cancers and Wound Care. Dr. Kleinstein has served in multiple medical staff leadership roles including Vice Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery, and Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at University Hospital. He is is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Dr. Kiran C. Patel Colleges of Allopathic and Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University and a Surgical Preceptor at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is active in teaching Surgical residents and students.

Dr. Kleinstein attended New York University as an undergraduate. He graduated from UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School in 1994. He began his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. After completing a year of research during his residency, he returned to New Jersey Medical School to complete his training. His research has been published in various journals and presented at multiple meetings.
